Universal’s “The Fall Guy” is getting ready to be released in theaters on May 3rd. Like any other movie that is getting ready to hit the big screen, you need to get the world out through creative marketing! For “The Fall Guy” this may be a little more tricky as its a movie about making a movie. Specifically the stunt team.

Lucky for us we get a “behind the scenes” look at some of the meetings about “Marketing ‘The Fall Guy'”. On the panel are stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, and director David Leitch. Running these meetings is the amazing Hannah Waddingham, who plays a producer on the film. The first of the three is titled, “The Big Pitch”. When your marketing a movie about movies, why not piggy back on the success of other Universal Pictures films? Check out the clip below!

Ok great! We have the movie angle taken care of, but what about social media? There are some movies from Universal that have been very successful recently thanks to social media (I’m looking at you M3GAN). So why not recruit some social media celebrities like Khaby Lame and Dude With Sign?

Great! We have taken care of social media! But “The Fall Guy” should really think about capitalizing on something that’s hot right now, like the NBA playoffs! In which case it would be a great idea to recruit some NBA stars! Stars like Jalen Brunson and Julius Randall. Hopefully they don’t get too star struck.

Here is more information about Universal Pictures’ “The Fall Guy” provided by the studio:

Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (BarbieLa La LandDrive) stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt (OppenheimerA Quiet Place films, Sicario)—goes missing.

While the film’s ruthless producer (Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham; Ted Lasso), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Bullet Train) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt will find himself ensnared in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

Inspired by the hit 1980s TV series, The Fall Guy also stars Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Academy Award® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).
