Singer-songwriter and producer MAUMAUMAU reveals the music video to his first EP single titled “Curveball Whip Cream.” His EP Meow Meow Meow was released on May 21st through AWAL.

The “Curveball Whip Cream” music video was directed by Seth Lee which includes Hulu’s Pen15 star Dallas Liu along with musician and American Idol alum, Trevor Douglas.

“MEOW MEOW MEOW was intended to be my introduction to the world as MAUMAUMAU. It is a compilation of my first songs as a solo artist, and it really represents me as a songwriter and a producer. When I finished the EP, the world got hit by the pandemic, and new songs like “Mouth Breather” just spilled out of me as things became grimmer. It felt like the wrong time to release my first project. But now, it feels more relevant than ever. It is an EP about dealing with the internal dialogues we all have when dealing with ourselves all the time. It is deep but fun and playful,” said Mau regarding his debut EP.

The Meow Meow Meow EP Tracklist:

1. Curveball Whip Cream

2. Famous

3. Distracted

4. Alright

5. Happy

“Meow Meow Meow” is a combination of melancholy, upbeat, true and a fresh version of getting over the self-defeating inner dialogues that are encountered everyday.

This EP was released after his 2020 debut single “Mouth Breather,” which focused on the anxieties that were created through the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to over 65K streams on Spotify. Also released last year was “Heartbreak Police,” focusing on police brutality. Mauricio Jimenez (MauMauMau) began 2021 with “B!l!ngval.”
