Maximum Hedrum made their very first performance on Monday evening to open a four Monday residency at local SilverLake, CA club Los Globos. Maximum Hedrum battle funk style music which is a mix of electronic and rock grooves is just an amazing mix of great music and lyrics.

Sam Spiegel of the group N.A.S.A. and Sepultura frontman Derrick Green rocked the crowed at the two story venue located off of Sunset Blvd. Performing along side Spiegel and Green are Fredo Ortiz on drums from the Beastie Boys and the Bongoloidz, On the bass was KoolGMurder from The Eels, David Ralicke on the Sax/Trombone  who has played with Neon Trees, The Dirty Heads and on vocals is Alisa Sanders.

Each song is an evolution of sound that has hints of old funk from band such as the Funkadelic’s mixed with today’s use of electronics to develop a sound that will be loved my fans of music . The crowd who attended the show rocked out to all the songs performed  Monday which was about 12 to 13 tracks and left the show wanting more. The bands album is going to be released shortly on March 5 and features a track with funk legend, George Clinton.

If you get a chance to go down to see the show I would find a Monday soon, they only have three more dates at the venue and it is a must see show with music that is so tight and on point. They currently have released a song on YouTube entitled, “Synthesize” and can be hear below. Tickets for the Monday series of shows can be purchased at the Los Globos website.
