McCartney Rocks The MGM Grand In Vegas

Paul McCartney played a show in Las Vegas this past Friday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The legendary rocker played the show in preperation to his Yankee Stadium shows in New York that he will be performing this July.

It was also the last show in his “UP and Coming” tour. McCartney started the performance with some Beatles hits such as “Magical Mystery Tour”. He also played songs from his years with Wings and solo albums, which is a history lesson in the rockers career.  Late in the show a historic milestone occurred as John Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono and son Sean Lennon with George Harrison’s wife Olivia all came on stage with Paul McCartney as they led a sing-a-long of the John Lennon classic, “Give Peace a Chance.” McCartney continued with the medley with The Beatles a song written by Lennon, “A Day in the Life.”

Ultimately, the show was an amazing array of pop music spanning over 40 years. With music from The Beatles, Wings and special surprises that made the show so incredible to see a performer of his caliber. McCartney will soon be 69 years old this Saturday and to be able to deliver a show as he still does is amazing. McCartney will also be playing show in Chicago on July 31, the first time he has played in the city in 6 years.  He will also be performing in Detroit at Comerica Park on July 24 and on August 4 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
