MIDSUMMER SCREAM ADDS UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD’S HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS TO ITS 2022 LINEUP 

Midsummer Scream, the world’s largest Halloween and  horror convention, announces the addition of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights to this year’s exciting roster of horrifying panels and participants as they plan to reveal exclusive details about their upcoming seasonal event for horror fans. The annual, weekend-long Halloween and horror convention will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center from Friday July 29 through Sunday, July 31. 

Midsummer Scream showcases the diversity of Southern California’s haunt and horror community, while inviting fans from around the world to experience a weekend of excitement and non-stop spooky fun with over 350 exhibitors, more than a dozen mini-haunts and attractions, panels, presentations, live performances, and more.

On Saturday, July 30 in the Grand Ballroom, Halloween Horror Nights’ Creative Director and Executive Producer John Murdy will engage with fans to provide an exclusive look at the Universal Studios Hollywood design process and details on this year’s slate of haunted houses.

Midsummer Scream and Season’s Screamings are presented by David Markland (Founder/Executive Director), Gary Baker (Founder/Executive Producer), Claire Dunlap (Founder/Producer), and Rick West (Founder/Creative Director). Their goal is to showcase the diversity of Southern California’s haunt and horror community as a welcoming beacon for fans around the world to converge on Los Angeles for a weekend of excitement, networking, and non-stop spooky fun!

Michael Sandoval

Michael Sandoval is the Founder and Executive Producer of MUSE TV, as well as the Producer of NEWS x MUSE, Destination: The Theme Park Travel Show, and he is the Co-Executive Producer of "Hey Han" with Executive Producer and host, Hannah Fletcher. MUSE TV originated as a website covering music and entertainment news in 2012. The company has expanded to YouTube, as well as having its own podcast. One decade later, the MUSE TV Network now exists on Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Sandoval grew up in East Los Angeles, having graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute. He began his journalism career in junior college where he wrote for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune and Whittier Star News, covering high school sports. Michael then continued his education at Cal State University, Fullerton in which he worked at KTLA as a production assistant for Kurt the Cyberguy. His journalism career eventually led to the transition into the realm of professional sports- specializing in marketing, sales, event planning and public relations with the National Hockey League, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Dodgers. Michael later crafted a hybrid of his journalism career, combined with his newfound marketing skills to create not only the MUSE TV as a news outlet, but also the MUSE TV Internship Program. This program exists with the mission to help develop the next generation of journalists.
