Mike D’Antoni To Sign 4-Year Deal To Be New Lakers Coach

Reports saying Mike D’Antoni will be returning to coaching to lead the Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers will make Mike D’Antoni their next head coach to replace Mike Brown reports sources from the LA Times close to the situation.
This weekend talks were very close with former Lakers coach Phil Jackson but it was reported that Jackson wanted salary close to what he was making in his last stint with the Lakers which was around 10 to 15 million. Jackson was also asking to limit his travel with the team and was looking for an interest in owning a percentage of the team.
D’Antoni last coached the New York Knicks and this pass summer was one of the coaches of the USA Olympic Basketball team in London this summer. D’Antoni career record as a coach is 388 wins, 339 losses and won coach of the year in 2004-05 season. He will be reunited with his former point guard Steve Nash who played for D’Antoni in Phoenix  for the Suns. The Los Angeles Lakers will make an announcement on the signing later today.
