NEWS x MUSE recently talked with the creator and executive producer Miranda Kwok on her hit series, The Cleaning Lady on FOX.

When whip-smart Cambodian doctor Thony De La Rosa comes to the United States for medical treatment to save her ailing son, she soon discovers her path won’t be as straightforward as she had hoped. As the system quickly fails her, pushing her into hiding, she resolves not to allow herself to be beaten down and marginalized, and becomes a cleaning lady for organized crime. Using her cunning and intelligence, Thony forges her own path in the criminal underworld, doing whatever she has to to survive.

Miranda Kwok is a writer-actor-producer best known as the creator and executive producer of the U.S. television series “The Cleaning Lady,” based on the original Argentine series “La Chica Que Limpia.” Produced by Warner Bros. and FOX Entertainment, Kwok developed “The Cleaning Lady” for the Fox Network.

Previously, Kwok served as a Writer/Supervising Producer for “The 100” on the CW Network, working on the Warner Bros. series for four years from Season 4 to Season 7.
