After being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Universal Studios’ beloved and spooky Halloween Horror Nights is back for 2021 with a lineup filled with old and new attractions.
The event will run on select nights from Thursday, September 9 until Sunday, October 31. Guests have several new ticket options, including the R.I.P. Tour, Ultimate Fear and Frequent Fear passes.
Among the highlights is the return of “Terror Tram,” based on The Purge film franchise. Guests will have the opportunity to live out their Purge fantasies, trying to survive the night in the Universal backlot. “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers” will take guests through a haunted maze as they are followed by the classic fictional serial killer.
Other mazes in the lineup include:
- “The Haunting of Hill House,” based on the Netflix supernatural thriller.
- “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” featuring Leatherface and his chainsaw.
- “Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives,” which will feature a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning musician Slash.
- “The Exorcist,” which will allow guests to experience the aberrations experienced by Regan and her mother.
- “The Curse of Pandora’s Box,” featuring characters from Greek mythology.
- “The Walking Dead,” inspired by the AMC television series.
Universal also announced these new scare zones:
- “Universal Monsters: Silver Scream Queenz,” the first all-female scare zone featuring The Bride of Frankenstein, Anck-Su-Namun The Mummy, Dracula’s Daughter and She-Wolf of London.
- “Chainsaw Rangers” featuring a gang of chainsaw-wielding maniacs.
- “Demon City” will take over New York Street, where bloodthirsty clubbers search for their next victims.
Guests can also see the award-winning dance crew the Jabbawockeez each night, along with select year-round theme park attractions that will remain open during the run of the event.
