Disneyland just announced another expansion to the Disneyland Resort.
The Four Diamond hotel is set to open in 2021, and there will be many exciting new ways for their guests to relax after a long day at the park. This hotel will revolutionize the west end of the Downtown Disney District.
“The stunning 700-room hotel will feature a sophisticated design and be a game-changer for Anaheim, creating a dynamic dining, entertainment and hotel experience for resort visitors and local residents. Extensive landscaping and water elements will create a resort oasis, showcasing nature on every level of the hotel,” Disneyland Resort officials said.
The new hotel will connect all four of the hotels in the Disneyland Resort through lavish gardens and dazzling landscaped walkways.
For guests who don’t want to walk through Downtown Disney before or after their park visit, this Four Diamond Hotel is featuring a dedicated platform inside the hotel for direct transport into the Disneyland park.
Another exciting element to the hotel for guests will be never having to worry about missing a firework show.
“In addition, an upper-level restaurant and lounge will give guests a view of the popular Disneyland park fireworks” Disneyland Resort officials said.
Not only does this expansion offer excitement to their future guests, but also work opportunities for the city of Anaheim.
“This new hotel creates great benefits for the community, generating approximately $25 million in new taxes in its first five years of operation that go directly to Anaheim’s general fund,” Disneyland Resort officials said. “It also will create thousands of additional construction and permanent jobs and attract new hotel guests to the resort area.”
This is the first time in almost two decades Disneyland Resort has added another hotel.
Construction is starting summer 2018, with the grand opening slated for 2021.
