NFL Network unveiled the MediaCruiser at a Hall of Fame event today in Los Angeles.

New for the 2017 NFL season, NFL Network’s MediaCruiser is a mobile set which will allow for the network to broadcast from any location and provide an opportunity to interact with fans across the country in an intimate setting, offering a great TV viewing experience.

The MediaCruiser will be present for the majority of the 18-game Thursday Night Football schedule on CBS, NBC, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video this season, beginning Thursday, September 14 in Cincinnati when the Bengals host the Houston Texans. The MediaCruiser will be located outside each stadium for Thursday Night Football, serving as the set for the TNF GameDay pregame show.

In addition to Thursday Night Football, the MediaCruiser will play a large role in NFL Network’s on-location coverage of various events such as the Super Bowl and NFL Draft.

Designed by XDS and constructed by CGS Premier, the MediaCruiser shares its DNA with the Telecruiser, which was designed and built by the DuMont Television Network in the late 1940s and early 1950s. One of the very first remote video trucks, the Telecruiser was instrumental in the coverage of the Kennedy assassination, early space shots, college football and some AFL games prior to the merger with the NFL. NFL Network’s MediaCruiser strives to carry a piece of this broadcast history as it moves forward with this state of the art, innovative mobile set and truck.

At the Hall of Fame event today, NFL Network announced five separate eBay charity auctions. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on a VIP lunch experience with one of NFL Network’s Hall of Fame on-air talent of their choice, including Kurt Warner, LaDainian Tomlinson, Terrell Davis, Michael Irvin and Marshall Faulk. The winning bidder will be flown to Los Angeles to meet and have lunch with the talent of their choice. Airfare and hotel will be provided for, and all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Hall of Famer’s charity of choice.

The auction is set to launch Friday, September 1.
