Nicky Jam closes out the first month of the new year with the premiere of his music video, “Ojos Rojos.” Released under Sony Music Latin and record label La Industria Inc, the video shows Jam singing about a girl who’s in a negative relationship where she’s constantly crying. Like many of Jams’ other tracks, this song is an honest and soul-baring sound. The lyrics speak of Jam being in love with a woman who remains in an abusive relationship and doesn’t understand why she won’t walk away.

Él es un niño, no еs un hombre // Esa sonrisa una lágrima esconde // Porque él será el que rompe los plato’ // Pero yo soy el que te responde.

Translation: That is a boy, not a man // That smile hides sadness // Because he is the one that breaks plates // But I am the one who answers you.

Directed by Willy Rodriguez, the video was filmed in Madrid, Spain, last year in a mansion that doubled as a museum. Aside from seeing Jam sing to the woman he’s yearning to see become free from an abusive relationship, fans will also notice various artistic scenes (such as a bleeding statue and Jam engulfed in flames).

Last year Jam dropped his album “Infinity,” which featured many hits such as the songs “Celosa,” “Magnum” ft Jhay Cortez, and “Fan de Tus Fotos” ft Romeo Santos. Produced by award-winning music producer Sky Rompiendo, “Fan de Tus Fotos” marked the second time Santos and Jam worked together on a track.

In the video, (which has grossed over 68 million views on YouTube), the duo finds themselves daydreaming about their boss, who they believe has been sending them mixed signals. “The director actually came up with the concept, and it was fun to do,” he told People CHICA. “I never get to see that side of Romeo, and also, people aren’t used to seeing me dressed up in a suit.”

Beginning February 3rd, Jam will embark on the 13-city Infinity Tour starting in Boston’s Agganis Arena. “I never like to set expectations going into a tour because I just want to have fun, do what I love, and have people enjoy along with me,” he tells Ocean Drive Magazine. “I perform for my people. I think the fans will feel good and reminisce on so many songs that they love from my previous albums but also experience the new version of me and music to go along with it.”

Once again, Jam graces the list of nominees for this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro. With more than 20 nominations in his artistic career, this year was definitely not an exception. At the Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony, fans play a key role with their idols since they have the possibility of making them winners by voting through the web portal: www.premiolonuestro.com. The celebration, broadcasted by Univision, will take place on February 24th at 7:00 PM (ET)/ 6:00 PM (CT).
