Office Christmas Party Is Holiday Comedy Gold

Office Christmas Party is definitely one of the top comedies of the year.

The R-rated christmas story is about a CEO (Jennifer Aniston) that tries to shut down her hard-partying brother’s (T.J. Miller) branch, he and his chief technical officer (Jason Bateman) must rally their co-workers together and host the most epic office Christmas party (that spirals out of control) in order to impress a potential client and close a sale that will save their jobs.

The  holiday movie is edgy with its humor including awkward sexual encounters, involuntary drug use, truck loads of alcohol, and pop culture references. Some of the pop culture references went from quoting one of tupacs song”Ain’t a woman alive that could take my mama’s place”,  to making a joke to about ex husband going “Gone Girl” on him.

The cast is made up of an all-star comedy team including T.J.Miller, Jennifer Aniston, Kate McKinnon, and Jason Bateman just to name a few. The movie is pure comedy genius. I am not much of a one liner comedy fan but there was plenty of that and it got me to laugh out loud.

Office Christmas Party had me skeptical at first because of other christmas comedies that have failed to catch my attention, but this film had me laughing and crying at one point. If I were to describe the movie I would have to say its a mix between Project X and the Hangover during the holidays. This movie is one to see. Office Christmas Party in my opinion did not disappoint.

All in all pure comedy gold.
