Aaron Osborne Talks Production Design for Candy Cane Lane
NEWS X MUSE Manny Gomez spoke with Aaron Osborne, production designer for the new holiday feature film from Prime Video, “Candy Cane Lane” directed by Reginald Hudlin, starring Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Jillian Bell. During our conversation we talked about his work on the "Candy Cane Lane", specifically the amazing Christmas tree that becomes the centerpiece of the film. Osborne shares with us his inspiration behind the designs and gives us a couple of clues to many Easter eggs (or Christmas eggs) that we can find throughout the film. After Chris (Eddie Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper's spell, battle deviously magical characters and save Christmas for everyone.
