In collaboration with the Ventura County Community College District and Oxnard College,Â Rick Najeraâ€™sÂ Latino Thought Makers Holiday SpecialÂ will take place onÂ Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 7pm, as the second show in the fourth season of the productionâ€™s residency atÂ Oxnard College (4000 South Rose Avenue, Oxnard, CA).
This yearâ€™s LTM Holiday Special will feature a live musical performance byÂ Bianca MarroquinÂ who has played the role of Roxie Hart inÂ ChicagoÂ on Broadway, appeared onÂ Dancing with the Stars (ABC),Â Pequenos Gigantes (Univision)Â andÂ In the Heights, and served as a judge onÂ Mira Quien Baila (Univision). Biancaâ€™s performance will be accompanied by musicianÂ Bill Meyer. Also joining the holiday event are special guest comediansÂ Francisco RamosÂ (Last Comic Standing, Netflix, and Comedy Central) andÂ Ernie G. (Comedy Central, B.E.T., Mun2, and Good Day LA). Award-winning actor/writer/directorÂ Rick NajeraÂ (CBS, Hulu’sÂ East Los High,Â Mad TV, andÂ In Living Color) will host the event.
The Latino Thought MakersÂ SeriesÂ is a nationally recognized forum that showcases the careers of prominent Latinos in Hollywood. Featured actors and notable guests have includedÂ Edward James Olmos, Danny Trejo, Josefina Lopez, Luis Guzman, Esai Morales, Emilio Rivera, Lisa Vidal, Marco Antonio Regil,Â the family of Cesar Chavez, Carlos PortugalÂ and his cast from Huluâ€™sÂ East Los High, and many more. â€œOxnard College is proud to host this innovative series, which is both inspirational for our students and a great resource for our community,â€ says Oxnard College PresidentÂ Dr. Cynthia E. Latino Thought MakersÂ Holiday Special will take place at Oxnard College Performing Arts Building onÂ Wednesday, December 7Â at 7pm at 4000 S. Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93033. Doors open at 6:30pm. The event is open to the public. Entrance and parking areÂ FREE. A $5 donation is suggested to benefit the Oxnard College Foundation supporting student scholarships in the arts.
