Peacock released a short teaser for its upcoming teen drama series One of Us Is Lying, a new murder mystery premiering in 2021. The teaser, released on July 20, introduces main cast members; Marianly Tejada (Bronwyn), Cooper van Grootel (Nate), Annalisa Cochrane (Addy), Mark Mckenna(Simon), and Chibuikem Uche (Cooper), as the five teenagers at the center of the show’s plot.

Based on Karens M. McManu’s best-selling novel of the same name, One of Us is lying tells the story of five high school students who walk into detention on the first day of school, but only four of them make it out alive. After one of the students mysteriously dies, the remaining four students are deemed as potential suspects by the authorities.

The teaser trailer begins with Simon (Mckenna) being taken away by paramedics as his voice-over is heard saying, “one of these four made it my last.” His classmates Bronwyn, Nate, Cooper, and Addy, are then seen standing off to the side looking suspicious, for one of these students is guilty of murder.

Following the teaser trailer’s release, a cast reaction video was also shared showing Tejada, Grootel, Crochan, Mckenna, and Uche, as they watched themselves for the first time.

Produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, One of Us Is Lying also features cast members Jessica Mcleod, Barrett Carnahan, and Melissa Collazo. Actress and filmmaker Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon A Time, House) directed and produced the pilot episode alongside executive producers John Sacchi and Matt Groesch, who also helped develop the pilot.
