Pharrell Williams Hints at Another K-Pop Collab

Listen up BTS, EXO and Got7! Legendary Hip Hop producer extroidninaire and ambassador to all things cool, Pharrell Williams, is down to collaborate with K-pop artists. We caught up with the musical genius during the premiere of his latest film, which he is producing, ROXANNE ROXANNE and ask him about K-pop’s rise in the USA. 

As for what he thinks of foreigners and other culture not only embracing Hip Hop culture, but creating Hip Hop music he welcomes it. He says,”Man, I just love that Hip [Hop]– that we are finally starting to appreciate human beings’ music and not like color and races like you know heart [of people].” He adds if the music is good then its good. He explained, “if it’s lit, it’s lit.” 

As to if he would work with the latest K-pop groups to make waves in the USA, like BTS, make made it quite clear that point is mute. As if to say duh the answer is so obvious Pharrell said, “Of course, they’re humans.” Can you imagine a collaboration between Pharrell and BTS?

Now, it’s no surprise that Pharrell is a K-pop fan. He’s been know to be close with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon. The two have shared several fun photos onto Instagram together back in December of 2016 with the two of them hanging out.

What a way to tease BIGBANG’s and G-Dragon’s fans, but sadly G-Dragon currently serving his time in the military so the likelihood of a collaboration anytime soon seems far off. However, maybe Pharrell will collaborate with BTS? After all he did say, “Of course, they’re humans.” Here is to crossing fingers!
