The two currently have the No.1 song in the country with “Sunflower,” from “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” movie soundtrack.
This hit makes Post Malone’s third Number One in his career. Prior to the record, he reached No. 1 with both “Rockstar” and “Psycho.” “Sunflower” gives Swae his first No.1 on the Hot 100 as a solo act, apart from Rae Sremmurd. He topped first with “Black Beatles,” along with Slim Jxmmi featuring Gucci Mane and also his own feature on Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode.”
Post Malone’s and Swae Lee’s collab doesn’t come as surprise to many; they previous collaborated on “Spoil My Night,” a song from Malone’s most recent album Beerbongs & Bentleys, hitting No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The breakout song “Sunflower” may be a result from its association with the Spider-Man film, which has become a box office smash, ranking over $300 million worldwide since its December release.
