This summer, Premios Juventud, youth award show, celebrating Latin artists and influencers, in music, fashion and entertainment will air live from Miami, Florida, August 13th.

As previously announced, the show includes 28 categories and 140 nominees. Among them, the Agents of Change Award, honoring individuals who have used their platforms to bring attention to current issues and social change.

This year Premios Juventud will recognize Puerto Rican legend Ricky Martin for his activism and efforts through the Ricky Martin Foundation. Since 2004, the foundation has advocated on behalf of children around the world in education, health, social justice and human trafficking.

Additionally, accepting this award is Mexican-American singer and songwriter, Becky G, for her volume on social media. Becky G has been vocal on topics such as autism, cyberbullying, mental health, voting, poverty and gender equality.

The award show also revealed the first set of performers for the night Anuel AA (seven nominations), Rauw Alejandro (two nominations), Neto Bernal (one nomination), Camilo (two nominations), Natti Natasha (three nominations), Gloria Trevi, Manuel Turizo (five nominations) and Jay Wheeler.

The three-hour event, originally revealed to be hosted by Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisa Lachapel and Borja Voces, will include additional hosts, actress and activist Julissa Calderon and Latin music sensation Sebastián Yatra.

Unlike past years, the show faces a unique set of challenges brought by COVID-19. Univision has agreed to follow guidelines and restrictions in compliance with local authorities and public health recommendations. Still, the show remains innovative, using virtual technology to provide a memorable and entertaining experience for its at-home audience.
