Prince Begins 21 Nights Of Shows In LA At The Forum

Prince 21 NightsLast night Prince began the 21 shows that he will be playing in Los Angeles. The first show was at the Forum in Inglewood and instead of it being a concert it turned into a party. This night the party had lasted over three hours playing of all his greatest hits. He began the show walking on to a stage in the shape of the unpronounceable symbol (aka Love Symbol #2 in copyright form) to the song, “D.M.S.R.” The crowd at the forum was loud and singing along to hit after hit from his catalog such as, “Little Red Corvette,” “Purple Rain,” “Adore,” and 38 others.

Even though at this first show he did not have an opening act he did have Sheila E to perform with him beginning at the middle of the show with George Lopez introducing him. Though in true Los Angeles style after the 2nd encore fans started leaving the arena as the lights came on in the arena. Though the people who know how Princes concerts usually go encore are always possible. So as about 70% of the arena walked to their cars Sheila E cam out to begin the 3rd encore with her song, “The Glamorous Life” and really got the crowd that stayed moving and jumping in

their seats. The show ended after a 6th encore and the song, “Welcome 2 America” and the crowd still wanted more.

Overall review of the show was amazing! How many shows have you been to in recent memory that have lasted that long and the majority of the tickets at the Forum only $25. You cannot go see U2 or Janet Jackson who is also playing this week at the Gibson Theater. You will get your moneys worth and if your not a Prince fan but lover of good music you will love this show also. It caters to the whole family as parents took kids to see the purple one. Prince will be playing next Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Forum with tickets as low as $25 with 17 more shows still left to be announced. This is a must see show and will not be disappointed as every show has different set list and special guest appearing with him. So every night you just do not know what to expect so get to the arena early.
