In March of this year, MUSE had let you know that the band Rage Against The Machine was reuniting to release new music. Yesterday it looks like we have a timeframe now as the band released yesterday on twitter a link to their new website as well as posters popped up around Los Angeles. The posters and the tweet had the hashtag #takethepowerback with a countdown leading to June 1.

After the first day the site went up the website has crashed but when it was live it instructed people to enter their email in which an image appears with the message ‘Clear the way for the prophets of rage’ – a lyric from Public Enemy’s song Prophets of Rage.

The band has not performed together since 2011 but the word of them getting back together is getting the music world excited. Chuck D of Public Enemy tweeted the video for Rage’s Testify. Is it possible that the reunion tour be coming with Public Enemy? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.
