American playwright, known best for the play â€œWhoâ€™s afraid of Virginia Wolffâ€, that was later adapted into a critically acclaimed motion picture. Edward Albee is created by many of todayâ€™s playwrights, for having reinvented post-war theater, through his dialogue and daring theatricality. His plays capitated audiences, by its incorporation of what was modern America, during the time. Albee passed away at the age of 88 at his home in New York.
