Indicted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2000. White was part of popular American band, Earth Wind and Fire. They were known for covering a variety of musical genres such as; R&B, soul, disco, pop, Latin and African. The band had won 6 Grammy’s, due to hits like “Boogie Nights” and “ Let’s Groove.” In 1985, White embarked on a solo career in with the release of his self-titled album Maurice White, that featured a cover of Ben E Kings “Stand by Me.” White passed at the age of 74 in his Los Angeles home, from the effects of Parkinson’s dieses.
