The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded singers Nio Garcia, Casper Magico, and producer Flow La Movie with platinum and multi-platinum certifications for the singles “Travesuras,” “La Jeepeta,” and “La Jeepeta Remix.”
Gracia’s track “La Jeepeta,” which also features BRRAY and Juanka, was platinum certified by the RIAA, while its remix, with Anuel AA and Myke Towers, was certified as a 16x multi-platinum track! “La Jeepeta Remix” debut in April 2021, three months after the original song was released, becoming an overnight sensation reaching no.41 on Billboards Hot Latin Songs charts. The catchy mid-tempo-reggeaton track has since continued to climb in rank, securing the no.10 spot as of June 2021 and earning Garcia his second top 10 hit song.
“La Jeepeta” is not the only song earning Garcia critical praise from the RIAA, his single “AM,” produced by Flow La Movie and GLAD Empire, was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 17th. Currently at no. 16 on Billboards Hot Latin Songs – for the week of July 3rd – “AM” was also given the remix treatment with two of Latin music’s most prominent singers, J Balvin and Bad Bunny. With 32million views on YouTube its first week out, the official video for “AM remix” shows the trio living their best life as they sing about a young couple in the throes of a hot a passionate affair.
Casper Magico became a staple in dance clubs with the remix of his 2018 song “Te Bote” ft Garcia, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and Darell. His latest song, “Travesuras,” also features Garcia and its remix track with Ozuna, Myke Towers, and Wisin y Yandel was awarded platinum by the RIAA. This successful collaboration between Garcia and Casper had climbed to the no.15 spot on Billboards Hot Latin Songs when it came out in March 2021 and earned them the no. 1 spot on Billboards Latin Airplay Top Writers.
Both “Travesuras” and “La Jeepeta” were produced by Flow La Movie (José Ángel Hernández) and distributed by GLAD Empire LLC.
