Rooney to play free show at LA’s The Satellite

The rockers from Los Angeles, Rooney are slated to play at The Satellite on Thursday, February 2 in wake of the film “Dreamland.”

The drama, coming to Netflix on February 1 was written, directed and scored by the Rooney’s general manager Robert Schwartzman and centers around LA with an off-beat boy-meets- girl fashion.

Several songs by the band including “Sad but True,” from the recently released album “Washed Away” and a number of solo tracks recorded by Schwartzman will be featured in the film’s soundtrack, that can be purchased on iTunes.

Tickets for the show are free but must be reserved through Rooney’s page on Bandinstown.  The event is only for guest 21 and over. The  show will begin at 9pm and scheduled to conclude around 2am. For more information, including directions to The Satellite can be found here.
