Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland. Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe.

Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series and the film from Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite).

When we last saw inhibitors of Snowpiercer, Melanie promised to abdicate her power should Layton succeed in defeating the army, and Layton had made the difficult decision to sacrifice the prisoner cart that contained many of his friends. It was discovered that Melanie’s daughter, Alexandra and Mr Wilford are alive and aboard another train, Big Alice.

Season 2 will answer the question of what Wilfords return means for life on Snowpiercer. Will those on the discarded trains be truly lost? Will Layton see the birth of his child? And is it possible for there to be other trains filled with survivors.

Here is a first look at Sean Bean as Mr Wilford in season 2 of Snowpiercer.
