Sony Pictures Classics is paying tribute to the ’60s television sensation Julia Child, in its latest documentary film, which will tell the interesting story of the iconic cooking teacher, french cuisine author, and television personality. 

Child is considered a pioneer who paved the way for Americans by changing their views on food, television and even women. 

The film will also feature never-before-seen footage of Child, along with personal photos and first person narratives of her life and legacy. 

It will also showcase the struggles that Child went through in achieiving success and creating and publishing her french cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking in 1961. To this day, Julia Child’s cookbook has sold 2.5 million copies. 

The biopic of Julia will share the outstanding and empowering story of how she found fame in her 50’s and her calling of an unlikely television sensation. 

Julia is set to premiere in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, November 5, 2021.
