Southern California home to the biggest indoor water park

Garden Grove, Calif., will be home to the largest indoor water park yet. Great Wolf Lodge Resort is set to open in the spring of 2016, making it the largest water park of Great Wolf Resorts Inc., throughout the country.

The hotel will feature a 121,000-square-foot indoor water park, 603 hotel rooms, a conference room and seven eateries, in addition.

Great Wolf Park has rooms that are already being furnished and guests can now make reservations that range between $250 to $600 per night. Every room at Great Wolf Park is a suite, and it can accommodate 6 to 12 guests.

“This is a new, flashy property for us,” said Ruben Rodriguez, whose second day as Great Wolf CEO was Wednesday. “It makes us a coast-to-coast brand,” Rodriguez told the OC Register.

Waiting in line will be completely unnecessary at Great Wolf Park. The hotels’ indoor water park in exclusively for guests only.

“The indoor water park will feature a mat racer slide, tube slides, body slides, wave pool, lazy river, interactive play structure and kiddie water playground. Among the highlights in Garden Grove: A six-story funnel slide, a surfing simulator and a trapdoor-launched 360-degree looping slide. The marquee attraction is expected to be a slide board that combines a Guitar Hero-like video game with a water slide,” Brandy MacDonald from the Los Angeles Times wrote.

The $250 million resort is on budget and on board with its completions until its grand opening in March.
