Star Wars Battlefront to Make its Spring Debut

Ever since it was announced that EA and its subsidiary DICE would be developing Star Wars: Battlefront, video gamers and Star Wars fans alike have been anxiously awaiting for 2015, the previously announced release year for the new entry in the Battlefront franchise.

No doubt gamers and Star Wars fans rejoiced at todays announcement. 2015 will certainly be the year of Star Wars.

EA’s Star Wars Community team announced today that Star Wars: Battlefront will make its much anticipated debut at Star Wars Celebration next month in Anaheim, California. Excitement for the game has been building ever since an initial announcement at E3 in 2013 that was accompanied by a short teaser trailer that was met with a huge ovation.

Last years E3 saw another trailer released, showcasing not only the progress that DICE had been making on the game, but the passion and patience the studio was going through to create the Star Wars experience fans and gamers deserved. The trailer revealed that iconic locations such as Hoth and Endor would be incorporated into the game. It also teased fans with a promised upcoming update in Spring 2015.

And Spring 2015 is here.

The debut of Star Wars: Battlefront at Star Wars Celebration can only add to an atmosphere that is already filled with excitement and buzz considering that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in December of this year. It is also expected that Star Wars: Battlefront will be released later this year in time for the holiday season, making 2015 truly the year for Star Wars.
