Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was arguably the best of the three Marvel Studio theatrical offerings 2023. One of the key reasons was our connection to Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper and created by amazing VFX artists like Stephane Ceretti. They did such a phenomenal job that they have been nominated for several awards including at this year’s Academy Awards.

During this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival, NEWS X MUSE Manny Gomez spoke with Ceretti before he and several others were honored at the festival’s Artisans Award which highlights the most exciting and innovative work of the year in their reflective fields.

During our conversation, Ceretti talked about his work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and how that evolved from his work in the first film. It was a great conversation that you can check out above.

Here is the synopsis for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
