There’s nothing quite like a beef on social media, but leave it to mega DJ Steve Aoki to keep it classy. In a recent tweet, the DJ responded to Producer Marz’s dis of his and BTS’s track “Mic Drop.”
The famous K-Pop producer who works with MS Entertainment artists belittled BTS, the track and their fans. During an Instagram live session, he reportedly said that BTS’s collaboration with Steve Aoki was “trash.” Can you say Petty Betty?
Well one BTS fan wanted to hear Aoki thought on Marz’s comments.
Hey @LifeOfDesiigner @steveaoki there’s a producer calling your great collab with @BTS_twt trash. Just wanted to give a heads up and I look forward to maybe a diss track…??? 😏😏 peace out pic.twitter.com/WlsyJprFOf

@KaramaisanAmry ask desiigner and Steve Aoki, who both worked on the track, their thoughts on Marz and if they would actually work on a disc track in response. The fan accompanied the tweet with a photo of J-Hope with the caption “Petty.” Aoki wasted no time responding saying, “What one calls trash others will find the gold. Stay with what makes u happy and it doesn’t matter what they think.”

Wonder if the “gold” comment is in reference to the fact that “Mic Drop” recently was the first K-Pop song by a group to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Boom! Can you say mic drop?
