Los Angeles Swim Week (LASW) took place this past Thursday, at The London West Hollywood. The event featured local and international designers that are transforming and revolutionizing the fashion industry.

Connie Borja, whose vision, according to swimweekla’s website, was to provide, “a sustainable platform to increase engagement and foster connections between national and international designers, premier retailers and top fashion media”, founded LA Swim and also headlined her own collection, Amour Swimwear.

“Basketball Wives LA” Star, Draya Michele, made a name for herself at LASW. She showcased her line, Mint Swim, on a runway for the first time. The line consisted of two-piece swimwear and one-piece suits full of color and abstraction. Kaylee Schatz-Berg, Leilieve Lingerie, Cirone, and Rebecca Klodinsky from Frankie Swimwear, where also among some of the designers at LASW.

LASW was not swimwear exclusive; it also featured sexy and classy lingerie where every woman can feel comfortable in her own skin.

This was the first time Los Angeles was home to swim week, and what a better venue than Southern California to showcase a swimwear collection. Liz Eddy was the perfect host for this event as she kept the crowd entertained between “brakes.”

The event, which was at maximum capacity, ended with a private party overlooking the Los Angeles skyline. Hollywood is witness of so much talent and welcomes all the designers to what we, the audience/consumers, are sure will be their new home.
