Every year, the NFL finds ways to improve the surrounding communities of the Super Bowl host city through the Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program.
This involves giving an annual $1 million contribution from the NFL Foundation.
For this year a $2 million grant supported by the funding of the NFL Foundation, the Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee and the LA84 Foundation and the Play Equity Fund will support the Champions Live Here initiative.
The initiative sheds light on the achievements of 56 local Champion organizations who often go unrecognized. The goal is to provide grant awards to help these organizations continue the tremendous work they are doing in the community.
The 56 Champion organizations focus their work in the areas including youth development, jobs & economic opportunity and social justice.
Over the past year, the NFL Foundation’s Super Bowl Legacy Grant contribution has used the spotlight of the Super Bowl to not only make the contribution but to showcase the achievements of these Champion organizations that often go unrecognized.
The Legacy Program has granted each selected Champion organization with a $10,000 grant , a professionally-produced vignette-style video spotlighting their organization, and ongoing public recognition of their work in the leadup to Super Bowl LVI.
Six of these 56 organizations were selected in December or last year to receive a total grant of $50,000 making an even bigger impact.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and many Los Angeles higher ups such as both , Los Angeles Rams and Chargers Owners, Stan Kroenk, and Dean Spanos and Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee Chairman and Chairman & CEO ,Casey Wasserman were all present for the press conference Thursday at Jefferson Elementary School to celebrate the 56 Champion Organizations.
They also unveiled the Mobile Play Program: Park On The Move.
The Park On The Move is a partnership between the NFL, the Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee, the LA84 Foundation, the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation, the Play Equity Fund and Playworks.
The Mobile Play Program functioning as a park on wheels, will serve communities with limited park and recreation space, to meet youth in their neighborhoods and provide them an opportunity to play for years to come.
