Terminator: Dark Fate Cast to Win for Best Ensemble at CinemaCon

The announcement was made early Friday morning by Managing Director of CinemaCon Mitch Neuhauser, that the cast of Terminator: Dark Fate would receive the award at this year’s convention.

“With a cast that includes many familiar faces as well as talented newcomers, the next chapter of this blockbuster franchise is sure to entertain audiences around the globe. And, of course, it’s great to have Linda Hamilton back  in  the franchise,” stated Neuhauser. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor this exciting cast with this year’s ‘CinemaCon Ensemble Award.’”  

The cast includes Linda Hamilton, Natalie Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, Diego Boneta and Gabriel Luna with their highly anticipated film set to release in early November of this year.

Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are seen in the new film in very familiar roles as Sarah Connor and T-800. Since starring as Sarah Connor, Hamilton has since been seen in films such as Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Dante’s Peak. She also received an Emmy award and two Golden Globe nominations for her television-screen performance in Beauty and the Beast

Reyes is best known across Latin America for her leading role in Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas, Pickpockets, Cumbia Ninja and 2091. Most recently, she starred in the films Sumergible, Brakland and Birds of Passage.

Davis most recently wrapped production on The Turning, which is set to be released in 2020. Last year, she also starred alongside Charlize Theron in Tullyand in 2017 appeared in Blade Runner 2049

Directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and Skydance’s David Ellison, the film follows the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

In association with Paramount Pictures, Skydance Media and Twentieth Century Fox, the cast will be presented this award on the final evening of the four-day convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Caesar’s Palace Hotel and Casino during CinemaCon’s Big Screen Achievement Awards. The awards ceremony, presented by an official partner of CinemaCon, the Coca-Cola company, will be held in The Colosseum inside of the hotel.
