The Lyft Ride You Will Definitely ‘Member

Los Angeles, CA – Lyft. The new era of taxis. You get picked up in some random car by some random person and they take you wherever you want to go.

Well how much better would a Lyft ride be if you got picked up in a vintage low rider? What if the driver of the low rider just happened to be George Lopez?

Mr. Lopez and Lyft are working with Omaze, a company that brings you and celebrities together to help out great causes. The cause that brings you to ride around Los Angeles with Mr.Lopez is to raise funds for the LA Fund for Public Education which is working on behalf of the LA Unified School District.

More specifically, this will support two of the LAUSD divisions, Beyond the Bell and the Arts Education Branch. Beyond the Bell provides safe, quality educational programs outside of the classroom while The Arts Education Branch brings the arts to the students throughout the school day.

This is how it works, first you visit http://www.omaze.com/experiences/george-lopez, then you pick the amount of money you want to donate. The options range from $10 to $10,000. If you decide to donate $10, you receive 100 entries to win the cruise around Hollywood with George Lopez.

The more you donate, the more entries you will be adding and the more “thank you” gifts you will receive. For example, if you donate $25 you get a digital thank you card from Mr.Lopez, while if you donate $250 you get a t-shirt signed by him.

The winner and one friend will receive a flight to Los Angeles, stay at 4-star-hotel, and have dinner at one of Mr.Lopez’s favorite restaurants. Transportation will of course be by George Lopez, who will take the winners on a tour of the city he grew up in. Seeing as he is one of the original Latin Kings of Comedy, I can just bet that tour will be nothing but hysterical. The last day to try and win is February 26, 2015.
