The Offspring To Host Release Party For New Album “Days Go By” in Huntington Beach

The OffspringTHE OFFSPRING will celebrate their new album DAYS GO BY on release day, Tuesday, June 26 with a very special event from 5:00 pm–7:00 pm at Chronic Tacos in Huntington Beach, CA.

Open to the public, the ‘DAYS GO BY’ ALBUM “POP UP” RELEASE EVENT will be attended by the entire band and will include a taco eating contest as well performances from a killer Mariachi band.  Fans will have a chance to purchase the new record and have it signed by the band.  Competitive eating superstar Takeru Kobayashi will be on hand as well to demonstrate his impressive abilities (not to be missed!). In addition, a limited amount of exclusive custom Offspring T-shirts will be screened on site and given away to attendees.  There will also be free tacos, refreshments and other activities.

On DAYS GO BY, the Huntington Beach, CA quartet–DexterHolland (vocals, guitar), Noodles (guitar), Greg Kriesel (bass) and Pete Parada (drums)—once again break all the rules in true punk fashion on their ninth album. The title track and first single “Days Go By” glides on an irresistible riff and arena-sized hook.Meanwhile, “OC Guns” swings from swaggering SoCal reggae into a mariachi breakdown and “Cruising California (Bumpin’ in My Trunk)” jokingly recounts an afternoon rolling around the beach with nothing but time to kill and scantily girls to flirt with.  Then, there’s the final speed punk death march of dual salvo “Dividing by Zero” and “Slim Pickens Does The Right Thing And Rides The Bomb To Hell.”It’s unique, unpredictable and undeniably THE OFFSPRING.

THE OFFSPRING’S last album, 2008’s Rise And Fall,Rage And Grace, featured the alternative and rock radio staples “Hammerhead” and “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid.”Also among the band’s best-known hits are the rock anthems “Self Esteem,” “Come Out And Play (Keep ‘Em Separated)” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.”  The Huntington Beach, CA-based band has performed over 1100 shows across the globe and sold more than 36 millionalbums worldwide.  Their 1994 release Smashremains the highest-selling album of all-time on an independent label.
