After four years Lorde has finally returned to deliver her third studio album, “Solar Power” due August 20.

The announcement also comes with the promise of a tour in 2022, with only 15 dates currently scheduled in the U.S.

The tour will skip arenas and will take place in theaters, a decision Lorde made with a preference towards “intimate” shows.

To get access to presale tickets fans need to sign up for the tour email listing and will receive an access code that will be sent out tomorrow and tickets will be up for sale June 24.

It is clear that fans were eager for Lorde’s return, as the deluxe and colored vinyl are already sold out on her website

Noticeably, Lorde is skipping on the release of CDs. This was a decision made with the intent to be environmentally friendly, according to the artist.

“I decided early on in the process of making this album that I also wanted to create an environmentally kind, forward-thinking alternative to the CD. I wanted this music box product to be similar in size, shape and price to a CD, to live alongside it in a retail environment, but be something which stands apart- a plastic-free box that contains loads of extra visual content, handwritten notes, exclusive photos, and a download card,” reads in part a note from Lorde on her online store.

With a clear build up of fan anticipation, Lorde’s return appears to already be a success.
