Tim Burton will soon be taking us on another wild adventure with his new movie “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Childrenâ€.
The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs and will be released in September later this year. Â For now we can indulge in the trailer, which gives us a feel for the intriguing, mythical storyline.
With his spectacular visionary skills, Burton shows us the life of Jacob Portman, a teenage boy who is making interesting discoveries about the world. Jacob is realizing that the world is not exactly as it may seem, and that some people are a little more peculiar than others.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is just that- a home for children with different “peculiaritiesâ€, or powers and abilities. After visiting the home, Jacob finds out that he too has a particular peculiarity, with which he must help defend his new friends and their special home.
The movie looks like nothing anyone’s done before. The concept of the movie is riveting, but the characters are what make it so fascinating. If a girl that can control air, or a women who can transform into a bird doesn’t sound interesting to you, who knows what does.
Burton is known for his visually extraordinary movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Alice in Wonderland. Not only do they capture attention with unique camerawork and special effects, they all have a hint of darkness, but know just how to pull at the heartstrings- and “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children†seems as if will follow the same premise.
There’s a lot to look forward to this year by Burton from “Alice Through the Looking Glass†in May and “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children†in September. We’re definitely looking forward to his new captivating, stylist works.
