During a presentation at D23 Expo 2017, Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, announced that the highest-rated attraction at Shanghai Disneyland, Tron, will be coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Inside the MagicThe new attraction will be exhibited next to the Space Mountain attraction, another popular ride at the Magic Kingdom Park. Tomorrowland will now exhibit two roller coasters, one classic and one with a futuristic twist.
The TRON Lightcycle Power Run attraction in Shanghai Disneyland takes visitors on an indoor and outdoor whirlwind of an adventure with neon lights, visual effects, and fast speeds that immerse fans in the world created by Kevin Flynn.
The Tron attraction is scheduled to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
