Spooky season has officially begun at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights.
From all the scary mazes to walking through the scary zones, get ready to be surrounded by screams, mad laughter, and face nightmarish creatures.
This year’s mazes includes Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House, Universal Monsters The Bride of Frankenstein Lives, The Terror Tram: The Ultimate Purge, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, The Curse of Pandora’s Box and AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Terror Tram: The Ultimate Purge was a dark and wild maze, because once you are off the tramp there are no laws, rules or an escape. You will definitely get chased around with the chainsaws by the masked and costumed marauders.
The surround sound, lighting, and the surroundings was what made the experience very intense.
Netflix’s : The Haunting Of Hill House maze was very fun and horrifying at the same time. Expect the unexpected because there are a lot of random pop-ups from the horrifying evil demons.
The maze actually makes you feel as if you are actually going through the sets of The Haunting of Hill House. There’s a lot of spooky shadows and you get to experience seeing The Tall Man, the ghost in the basement, Bent-Neck lady and more.
Universal Monsters The Bride of Frankenstein Lives is such a classic story and a wild experience to go through. It showcases the bride trying to relive Frankenstein at all cost and takes her fate into her own bloody hands.
You will experience seeing lots of bloody experiments done by the bride herself. My vampire blood hand sanitizer did not work though because I got out of the maze perfectly fine.
Along with the haunted mazes there were scare zones that you can walk through throughout the theme park.
Scare zones this year were limited to three but very successful featuring Chainsaw Rangers, Demon City and the best and most original Silver Scream Queens. So get ready to unexpectedly get sacred out of nowhere because they will come for you especially at Silver Scream Queens cause the fog can get think.
This year in Universal Plaza it has been decorated honoring the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). It is a great place to hang out if you want a little break from getting scared.
The section was full of skulls, La Catrina and displays honoring Mexican culture. You can buy food, drinks and enjoy the chill hib. The birria tacos they had were amazing.
In addition, the wait time for the rides were not long so you can always get into one if you want a little break from walking around the park.
Overall, Halloween Horror Nights was definitely scary. Considering the event not able to occur in 2020, Universal did a great event and the mazes were solid.
