USA Women’s Soccer Win Historic Gold

USA SoccerThe United States Women’s Soccer team made history at the 2012 London Olympic Games with a huge win over Japan ,2-1. USA Women’s Soccer became the first team to win three consecutive olympic gold medals and this team cemented there page in US women’s sports.

Carli Lloyd scored both goals for the US team with the first coming in 8 minutes into the match. Second goal would come in the beginning of the second half at the 54 minute. Hope Solo played an amazing game at goal allowing only one goal against Japan.

The USAwere able to earn some redemption from the 2011 Women’s World Cup Final in which the USA and Japan faced each other with Japan winning through penalty kicks.
