Vanessa Hudgens Talks About So You Think You Can Dance Season 15

MUSE chats with So You Think You Can Dance judge, Vanessa Hudgens on season 15 of the show. They also go into the what she is looking for from the contestants this season in compared to prior season she has judged.

Vanessa Hudgens began her work in musical theater at a young age, in shows such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “The King & I,” “The Music Man” and “Cinderella.” In 2015, she made her Broadway debut, starring in the title role of the beloved Academy Award- and Tony Award-winning film and stage musical “Gigi,” and in 2016 starred in FOX’s “Grease: Live,” which was nominated for 10 Emmys and won five, the most ever for a Special Class program. In 2010, Hudgens won the ShoWest Award for “Female Star of Tomorrow.” Her film credits include “Thirteen” and “Spring Breakers.” Her television credits include “High School Musical” and the action comedy “Powerless,” set in the DC universe. Hudgens lives in Los Angeles.

So You Think You Can Dance is hosted by Cat Deeley and featuring Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens as resident judges, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE enters its 15th season. Highly-skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30 will showcase their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking and more.

Those who are selected to move on to the SYTYCD studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete LIVE each week for America’s votes in a variety of styles. Contestants will be eliminated weekly until a winner is named on the season finale.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is from 19 Entertainment and dick clark productions. The series is executive-produced by Lythgoe; Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions; Barry Adelman, Executive Vice President of dick clark productions; Mike Yurchuk; and Jeff Thacker.
