VIZIO Expands Audio Lineup with New Series for 2021

VIZIO, Inc. today announces the availability of select models in its 2021 audio lineup, making good on the promise of its celebrated debut at CES 2020. Beginning this month, the all-new V-Series 2.1, V-Series 5.1, and M-Series All-in-One 2.1 sound bars will start rolling out to complement the outstanding picture quality of VIZIO’s newest SmartCast TVs and deliver on the great audio content available through SmartCast by adding an element too often missed in home entertainment: immersive, theater-quality sound. These new models will be available starting now for as low as $149.99 at major retailers.

“Consumers had one simple demand – superior sound quality – and we listened,” said Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. “VIZIO is delivering even better audio performance this year with deep bass, serious volume levels, and clear, natural vocals. People are streaming entertainment from more sources than ever, including VIZIO’s award-winning SmartCast TVs; with our latest sound bars, they can rest assured that whatever they watch or listen to will sound great.”

The All-New V-Series and M-Series Sound Bars
With leading performance, value, and ease-of-use, the V-Series and M-Series sound bars pair upgraded audio performance with a simple interface and a minimalist low-profile aesthetic that graces any home décor. Building on VIZIO’s award-winning two-channel sound bar heritage, the sleek new V-Series 2.1 Sound Bar  provides outstanding sound at a reasonable price, using high-quality, full-range speakers that offer superior accuracy combined with a wireless 5″ subwoofer for deep, tunable low end. A pre-optimized Dialogue Enhancement EQ setting further increases dialogue clarity so users never miss a word in movies and TV shows. 4K entertainment soundtracks are enhanced with Dolby Audio for crystal clear sound, and DTS Virtual:X adds floor-to-ceiling virtualized 3D surround sound, placing listeners in the middle of the story or front row at their favorite concert venue. HDMI connectivity ensures the highest-quality audio and allows the freedom to control the sound bar’s power, volume, and mute with your original TV remote, or use the intuitive comfort-grip remote supplied by VIZIO.

As with all of the new models, the V-Series 2.1 can stream music wirelessly with Bluetooth from a phone or any compatible device. Also found across the entire line is the new Voice Assistant input, so users can connect their current device of choice (sold separately) and operate it right through the sound bar for upgraded audio. Once connected, the sound bar automatically switches inputs to play and listen to the voice assistant, regardless of which input you’re using. HDMI and audio cables are included with each sound bar for quick, easy setup.

The step-up V-Series 5.1 Sound Bar offers a similarly elegant design with additional performance and features. The 5.1 system adds a dedicated center channel inside the sound bar for improved dialogue clarity in TV and movies, further enhanced by an adjustable Dialogue EQ option. A pair of low-profile, full-range surround speakers provide enveloping surround sound, and a powerful 5″ wireless subwoofer for deep low frequencies completes the package to offer immersive theater-quality audio.

DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio are on board to enhance 5.1 soundtracks, or upmix two-channel content to drive all these speakers to bring the latest thrilling 4K entertainment soundtracks to life. The optional new Dual Stereo Mode duplicates two-channel content like music to all 6 speakers simultaneously, for a fuller, richer sound that fills the room, while Front Surround Mode allows all speakers to be placed in front of the listener, creating a smoother, wider virtual surround experience in any environment. A new easy-to-see backlit display remote is included, or users can connect via HDMI to control the V-Series 5.1 with their TV remote.

The M-Series All-in-One 2.1 Sound Bar is the ideal step-up solution to create a premium home theater experience in a room where subwoofers and surround speakers just don’t fit. With deep bass response from its built-in subwoofers and improved clarity from additional tweeters, this sound bar provides refined audio from a single, striking angular unit in a dark charcoal finish. The Dialogue Enhancement EQ again boosts clarity so users can hear every word. The M-Series All-in-One employs DTS Virtual:X for an immersive experience through its high-performance two-way speakers, with independent tweeters and woofers that offer realistic dynamics, detail, and output up to 98dB SPL. Dual, integrated 3″ subwoofers provide uncompromising bass without the need for a separate box. The system fills the room with captivating, lifelike audio for listeners in any seat, all with the easiest setup. An internal gravity sensor automatically adjusts the left to right speaker orientation to maintain optimal audio quality, whether the sound bar is wall-mounted or placed under the TV. Designed to integrate seamlessly with 4K televisions, the All-in-One also supports ARC and Dolby Vision® pass-through with its two HDMI ports.

The Elevate 5.1.4 Sound Bar will arrive later this year. The most awarded product at CES 2020 and the most advanced sound bar ever produced by VIZIO, the Elevate supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio with revolutionary, first-of-its-kind Adaptive Height Speakers. See VIZIO’s separate release on the Elevate Sound Bar and the company’s first-ever OLED TV for details.
