Walt Disney World will be broadcasting live the opening one of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever undertaken by Walt Disney Imagineering, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

The live stream will begin at 6:55 pm EST | 3:55 pm PST from Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

In it, guests will join the Resistance and depart from Batuu in a transport ship to meet General Leia Organa at a secret rendezvous point. However, on their way to the hidden base, guests are intercepted and taken prisoner by the First Order as their ship is drawn into the hangar bay of a Star Destroyer. The action then ramps up as guests seek to escape the clutches of Kylo Ren and the First Order.

Disneyland Resort will be opening their version of the attraction on January 17, 2020.

In addition to all the excitement at the theme park at the resort Star Wars: Galactic Star Cruiser will invite its’ first guest in 2021.

Disney Parks Blog describes it as a new type of immersive vacation that only Disney could create – a two-night, cruise-style itinerary where you’ll become the hero of your own adventure in an experience that surrounds you 24/7 in Star Wars storytelling.

From the Starcruiser Terminal, you will enter an exclusive launch pod for travel up to the Halcyon, your starcruiser in a galaxy far, far away. Through the pod’s viewports, it looks as though you are traveling through space to approach the massive ship that is much too large to land on any planet.

In this new update we heard how you will be still in the experience as you travel to the theme park. Disney described it as “A “spaceport of call” to Black Spire Outpost is included in your itinerary, where special passenger transports take you to the planet Batuu (also known as the destination for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios).”

“To get from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and back, you’ll remain fully in-story as you step aboard the transport ships designed specifically for this new immersive experience, which you can see in the artist concept rendering above, released today. It will connect you directly to a spaceport at Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.”

This will be an experience no Star Wars fan would want to miss. It is time to start saving your credits cause this two-day experience. If you want to keep up with everything going on with this new resort experience visit for more information.
