Boyle Heights native and Celebrity Chef Aaron Perez, winner of the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen, launches his latest venture – VaKa Burger Express. Made with grass fed cows for the beef, organic ingredients and sauces made in-house, the first gourmet burger location on the Eastside of Los Angeles aims to bring restaurant-quality burgers to the emerging community of Boyle Heights at reasonable prices.
Cooking is my passion and I’m motivated by the meals that I cook and prepare for my family and loved ones, said Chef Aaron. that same dedication that I want to bring to my home community of Boyle Heights, bringing high-end cuisine flavors to a bun that people on the Eastside can enjoy in their homes.
VaKa Burger Express is the latest in a series of successful business ventures for Chef Aaron and his wife, Esmeralda. After his appearance on Cutthroat Kitchen, Chef Aaron launched VaKa Express – a mobile gourmet food truck that quickly caught the attention of food lovers throughout Los Angeles County, drawing crowds of devoted customers at numerous locations that would be announced through social media. Located adjacent to the proposed redevelopment project at the historic Sears Building in Boyle Heights, VaKa Burger Express aims to contribute to the communitys growth and be a partner in the revitalization of Chef Aarons home – Boyle Heights.
