World Series Wager Between Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags New England

Six Flags Magic Mountain, the “Thrill Capital of the World,” and its sister park, Six Flags New England, have placed a friendly wager on the upcoming World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox. Team Magic will be cheering on the six-time world series champions when they take on the American League champions beginning tomorrow in Boston.

When the Los Angeles Dodgers win the World Series title, Six Flags New England will change its classic wooden roller coaster, Thunderbolt, to Dodgers Thunderbolt for the opening weekend of Holiday in the Park. In addition, the park president, Pete Carmichael, will proudly wear a Dodgers jersey during opening night of Holiday in the Park and the park will fly the Dodgers flag on top of their Scream tower.

If the Dodgers happen to lose, Six Flags Magic Mountain will rename The New Revolution, The Red Sox Revolution for Holiday in the Park opening weekend, and park president, Neal Thurman, will wear a Red Sox jersey during opening night. The park will fly a Red Sox flag at the main gate plaza.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Six Flags Magic Mountain celebrates Holiday in the Park featuring thrilling rides, tasty treats and exciting family entertainment for the holiday season. Select days from November 17 – December 31, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland with thousands of colorful lights, carolers performing classic yuletide favorites and personalized meet-and-greets with Santa and his helpers.

The opening pitch of the World Series is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23 at 5:09 PT.
