His project Rich Crack Baby featured T.I., Boosie Badazz, Wale, 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, and Gucci Mane with production by Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, Honorable C-Note, among others. During Dolph’s busy year, Rich Crack Baby was his third mixtape followed by Bo$$e$ and $hooter$ and King of Memphis which was praised as one of the Best Projects of the Year by XXL. Raised in a Castalia Heights, a notorious neighborhood in South Memphis, Young Dolph surfaced into the urban music scene and accumulated a mass number of fan base. Being in an environment where he was surrounded by drugs and alcohol, Dolph didn’t allow that to completely define him.
He always had a passion for music, but it wasn’t until his friends recognized his talent and suggested he take rap seriously. This lead to him dropping mixtape after mixtape. Dolph became the only independent musician to have multiple Top 20 records that included, “California” and “Preach” and Top 40 records with “Pulled Up” and “Make the World Go Round”. With the success he had with his mixtapes, Young Dolph was able to collaborate with hip-hop’s most influential artists that include: Juicy J, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, and Young Jeezy.
