Jon Ecker was born in San Marcos, Texas, to an American mother and renowned Brazilian actor Guy Ecker. Raised in Texas, Jon earned a degree in Aquatic Biology from UC Santa Barbara before pursuing his passion for acting. He began his acting career in Latin America, gaining recognition in Mexican television before returning to the U.S. in 2014, where he transitioned into the English-language market, steadily building his presence in Hollywood and starring in hit series such as Narcos (Colombia), Queen Of the South, FireFly, Chicago Fire,
