Knott’s Berry Farm, one of Southern California’s most popular theme park destinations, will debut a new eatery this summer in the heart of Charleston Circle, across from the park’s iconic fountain.
The location, currently home to Johnny Rockets, will close for a full transformation beginning April 15, following the conclusion of the annual Boysenberry Festival. The new venue will feature a reimagined look and menu highlighting Knott’s classics — chicken and boysenberry — served in new ways.
“Knott’s Berry Farm guests have long enjoyed the unique and immersive experiences found throughout the park,” said Raffi Kaprelyan. “When we reimagined the food and beverage space, it made sense to draw from the legends and characters already here. Crafty’s Kitchen will bring together Knott’s culinary excellence, featuring clever chicken dishes and boysenberry, with a continuation of Crafty Coyote’s story.”
Located on Memory Lane, Crafty’s Kitchen will serve as the park’s premier chicken-and-fries destination, complete with a whimsical backstory centered on its owner, Crafty Coyote. The character is known for his pie-thieving antics at the neighboring Knott’s Beary Factory in the Knott’s Bear-y Tales ride. Having left his outlaw days behind, Crafty has reinvented himself, though a touch of mischief remains.
Guests will move through a nostalgic self-service line as team members in Crafty Coyote hats serve chicken tenders, crispy wings, chicken and biscuits and more, paired with an assortment of signature sauces. Alternative chicken options will be available, along with sides such as fresh-cut fries — served plain or loaded — and homemade pickles. For dessert, the restaurant will offer boysenberry pie shakes made with pies baked fresh daily.
According to the storyline, Crafty’s Kitchen occupies the former Beary Factory cafeteria. The space is decorated with memorabilia from Crafty’s villainous past, including playful mug shots, wanted posters and blueprints for his imaginative fryer inventions, blending Knott’s nostalgia with a modern aesthetic.
With lively signage and a spirited atmosphere, Crafty’s Kitchen aims to deliver a playful, flavorful dining experience unlike any other in the park.
