Great news for the cinephiles and horror junkies of the world, uber-talented producer, Heather Buckley has launched Black Mansion Films. The newly launched project explores genre as a potent vehicle for visionary and provocative storytelling through features, series, and documentaries. Their focus is to present new voices that are boldly cinematic, deeply personal, and prestige.

Buckley has been a much loved and respected part of the genre film community for the last 20 years. She has worked as a journalist for Dread Central, Diabolique, Fangoria, and Rue Morgue. She has produced a multitude of films including, THE RANGER, BLOOD & FLESH: THE REEL LIFE & GHASTLY DEATH OF AL ADAMSON. When Heather announced she was launching a Go-Fund-Me page for the project, the original goal was met in just four hours! The funding will go towards The Black Mansion’s initial slate of projects. The first film will be INSIDE from Writer/Director Elise Salomon. As of now, the Go-Fund-Me campaign has raised nearly $14,000!

An inclusive film studio founded in 2020, Black Mansion has a meticulously curated slate of character-driven narrative features and television projects, all in the elevated genre space with timely themes. The Black Mansion slate is repped at WPA by Partner, Brian Goldberg. Founder and CEO, Heather Buckley, has been involved with the genre film community for over 20 years. As a journalist, she has written for Fangoria Magazine and DreadCentral.com. Her production credits include The Ranger and Blood & Flesh, The Reel Life, and Ghastly Death of Al Adamson as well as over 175 short-form documentary interviews with prominent actors and directors in the genre space for physical media. 

Heather Buckley is a producer whose feature films include The Ranger, Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson, and more than 100 documentary special features. She now works under the new banner The Black Mansion, which has several projects in development and is devoted to auteurs who span the spectrum of genre film.
