The new single between J Balvin and EDM star Skrillex, “In Da Ghetto,” ranked no.1 on Billboards Latin Digital Song Sales chart in its first week out. With reminiscent beats of David Morales and the Bad Yard Club’s ‘93 track of the same name, the song also ranked in the top-ten spot for the Billboard charts; Latin Airplay, Hot Latin Songs, Latin Rythm Airplay, and was no.18 on Latin Streaming Songs

Directed by Alfred Marroquin, who also worked on Billie Eilish’s Vogue video, the music video follows Balvin and Skrillex throughout a wild night of partying, nightclubs, house parties, and other outdoor activities. It also features a cameo by TikTok sensation Khaby Lame, known for his sarcastic responses to TikToker’s complicated tasks and Jeff Obeng’s Mufasa character. The music video has already been viewed on YouTube by over 12 million people.

Balvin has been having a jam-packed summer. Aside from the success of “In Da Ghetto,” his remix to Nio Garcia’s “AM” with Bad Bunny has remained in the top ranks of music charts since its release and was the top-selling song on Billboards Latin Digital Song Sales for the week of July 10. Since its debut, the music video has had nearly 90 million views and shows the trio, Balvin, Garcia, and Bad Bunny, living their best life as they sing about a young couple in the throes of a hot a passionate affair.

His single with Argentinian singer María Becerra “¿Que Mas Pues?” (What else), has been making a climb up the music charts and dominating the airwaves. The music video features Balvin and Becerra as two lovers facing a turning point in their relationship – should they stay together or go their separate ways. 

This fall, Balvin will headline his very first music festival with Pollen. Co, a three-day, two-weekend music takeover of Las Vegas featuring many Latin artists and non-stop pool parties and nightclub takeovers. Weekend one of J Balvin X Neon begins September 3 -5, and weekend two will follow shortly after. Attendees must be 21+ to attend, and entry to the events and hotels requires identification.
